SINGING
Unlike many people who have a nice singing voice, I have experience singing on stage and I'm very comfortable around a microphone. I've sung back up (harmony) in bands in spiritual organizations. I also lead on a team for a year. This meant selecting the music, selecting the key, and leading the band in practice while playing an instrument myself while singing lead vocal.
instrumentalist
I've been playing cello since age 9 and play at an intermediate level. I read sheet music and can play most songs I'm given, or I can find a simplified version. I also love improvising and creating atmospheric music. I've played a few weddings and black tie events. I also can play with another instrumentalist or within a quartet or chamber. I personally know violinists who have played gigs with me that can step in.
I also play the guitar, ukulele, piano, and mandolin all at different experiences. But I play enough of each to accompany on a song by ear.
